Hi! My name is Lori. I’m so glad that you’re here!
Ever since I was a little girl, I could always be found creating something new. As a child my closet was overflowing with paper, stickers, yarn, paints, and (my favorite) glitter glue. In the summertime I would search for the perfect rocks and then paint them, and for Christmas I would receive the next greatest art kit. Not always was I found crafting, but my mother would always be after me about cleaning up my mess in the kitchen. I learned how to cook at a very young age. I would watch my mom cook, and then I would try to copy everything that she did.
Now as an adult, I still love to do these things! I developed this blog because these things, cooking and crafting, are what I truly love to do and I want to share it with the world. I hope that you are able to find something that you enjoy.
Some facts about me:
-I married the love of my life in May of 2012. He has been my best friend since jr. high school.
-I love anything with glitter! Whenever I can incorporate it into a design, I will.
-I could eat Indian food for every meal if I had to.
-My favorite shape is a star. My husband even got me my own star (yes, a real star!) for Christmas last year!
-I wish it was summer all year round.
-I am a Mormon.
-If I could wear high heels everyday, I would – but flip flops are so much more comfortable!
-I lived in Baltimore one summer doing an internship at Johns Hopkins University. A part of my heart has stayed on the East Coast ever since, and I hope to return there someday.
-I have a fear of talking on the phone to people I don’t know really well.
-I would rather eat something sweet than salty.
-I don’t like watching movies.
-I also work at a laboratory doing microbiology research.

Lori, I am enjoying your blog. Definitely going to try the Easy Chicken and your curry dish. I have a great curry treat to share with you. By the way, you really should show some close ups of your great heels! Oh, to be young again and not bound to matronly shoes.

Hey Lori! I really like your recipes, I love cooking and doing things myself (DIY) too. I cook with my dad and grandmother all the time, I started when I was 7 and have loved cooking and doing different recipes with the things in my cabinet as well. I found your blog on Pinterest as I was looking for a chocolate popcorn recipe and I am so doing your recipe after dinner. (I would be doing it now but my Dad said to wait…
